Large Champagne houses may use grapes sourced from as many as 80 different vineyards.  The families that produce Grower Champagnes not only own the land, but pick and press the grapes, blend and bottle it themselves. A Grower Champagne can be identified by the initials RM, which stands for Récoltant-Manipulanton the wine label. Join Paul Tocco of Synergy Fine Wines to taste the terroir of some of his favorite Grower Champagnes, including Terry Thiese.
