Non-Profit Beneficiary

The Durango Wine Experience is a Colorado not-for-profit organization. For the last five years, all net proceeds have gone to a local Durango non-profit. We are pleased to announce that the 2012 beneficiary will once again be the United Way of Southwest Colorado! We love how we are able to help out so many local organizations by contributing to our local United Way.

More on the United Way of Southwest Colorado:

United Way of Southwest Colorado invites you to join thousands of others in our communities to Live United.  United Way helps you Live United by providing opportunities to Give, Advocate and Volunteer. Giving, advocating and volunteering are ways we can make our community the best it can be for all its residents. In United Way’s 38-year history of service to Southwest Colorado, we have found that when people join together for the common good things change for the better. United Way targets barriers that families and individuals face that prevent them from thriving. Through our annual Community Investment process, we are partnering with 80 programs across the region that are addressing these barriers each and every day. Here are just a few of the organizations that the United Way of Southwest Colorado supports: Volunteers of America, www.voacolorado.org, 970-259-1255 Habitat for Humanity of La Plata County, www.habitatdurango.org, 970-382-2215 Housing Solutions for the Southwest, www.swhousingsolutions.com, 970-259-1086 Sexual Assault Services Organization, www.durangosaso.org, 970-259-3074 Alternative Horizons, www.alternativehorizons.org, 970-247-4374 Durango Adult Education Center, www.durangoaec.org, 970-385-4354 Colorado Housing, Inc., www.coloradohousinginc.com, 970-264-6950 Women’s Resource Center, www.wrcdurango.org, 970-247-1242 American Red Cross, SW Colorado Chapter, www.coloradoredcross.org, 970-259-5383 United Way of Southwest Colorado Volunteer Opportunities Sign Up For Quarterly E-Mails with Local Volunteer Opportunities • • • • Click here to sign up for quarterly e-mail messages from United Way with volunteer opportunities in your community. volunteer@unitedway-swco.org Please include your name and the county where you live in the body of the message.
