Paul CliftonPaul Clifton
Director of Wine Making for Hahn
Before joining Hahn in 2003, Paul worked in the cellar at Bernardus Winery in Carmel Valley and moved on to Byington Winery in the Santa Cruz Mountains where he was the assistant winemaker. Next he moved to New Zealand where he earned a post-graduate degree–and also learned that as a winemaker in a cool climate, everything has to unfold very precisely in the vineyard.

William started in restaurants at the tender age of 15. He realized that wine and spirits was his passion, and when he sat for his Introductory Exam and Course with the Court of Master Sommeliers over 17 years ago. Beyond his certifications listed above, he is studying for the WSET Diploma, is a member of the Guild of Sommeliers, is a 2 time Regional Champion of Central and Great Lakes Regional Winner of TopSOMM.

She has been in the wine industry for 20+ years, starting her career in 1995 at Republic National Distributing Company.  She has spent the last 16 years working as a winery representative for Robert Mondavi, Folio Fine Wine Partners, and Via Wines, a Chilean company.  She is a CSW (Certified Specialist of Wine), a member of the Society of Wine Educators and has passed the Introductory Sommelier Course through the Court of Master Sommeliers.
