Using jelly beans, you will learn which flavors match typical characteristics of several types of wine grapes. For example, what grape shows peach, pear, apricot, apple, cantaloupe, grapefruit and tangerine? Riesling!

Animas Chocolate Company owner and chocolatier, Carley Felton, will be on hand guiding you through the chocolate pairings and giving insight into the artisan chocolate industry.

While there are many types of whiskey, from Scotland and Ireland, to Canada and the US, bourbon is a special form created, distilled, and aged in the eastern United States, mainly in the state of Kentucky.We will have a couple of special guests talking history, distilling, and the nature of American whiskey. You do not need to check in at the DWE Event office in the back lobby of the Strater Hotel for seminars. Please proceed directly to the seminar location and show your id at the door. You do not need to bring your glass to any seminars.
In order for all guests to get the most out of their “experience”, please refrain from wearing perfume or cologne to any Durango Wine Experience event.
